Nice maching with minor nags

this is the samsumg flagship washer and should have every conceivable feature they can dream up. overall it does, but it's the little things that nag. first, the done chime is obnoxiously loud and persistent and cannot be changed. they need to provide a selection of sounds under options. second, it's kind of hard to tell if the device is powered or not. you have to hold your finger on the power icon, and it will go on after a few seconds. but it feel like... maybe, it's not going to go on. what i don't get is why my stove, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher all have persistent lit of displays, but this washer i have to explicity touch the power button to have the display come on? they need an option for an "always on display" so it's ready to go when you walk in the laundry room.

i received my new washer last month and i can not be more pleased. this is the most high tech machine i have seen. i love eveything about it. the brushed black is just beautiful. as other have said, the detergent dispenser is wonderful and quite a time saver. performance wise - the machine cleans outstandingly. it is easy to use, the controls are logical, and the quality of the built is excellent. the machine has so many features that i haven't had a chance to try them all out but i am impressed with what i have experienced so far. the machine is also very quiet and its a big step up from my last washing machine. set up was easy with the qr code.

I bought this washer about 3 months ago to replace the one I bought the month before. The first machine broke after using for a week. The very nice repairman informed me that Samsung was sorry and it was not fixable. I needed to replace. That process is another story. I found this one in stock at a local appliance store. I wanted it to match the new dryer we had also purchased for our new house. The first one made VERY loud noises while spinning. The new one also was very loud during spin cycle. It didn't seem like both machines could break within first week, so I continued to use it. The machine is very heavy and sits on a base. It did not move during spin cycle, but it started to squeak and the drum looked like it was off when turning. Another service call confirmed the noise was not normal. Turned out a cover inside the machine had come loose because the wrong type of screw was used to secure it. Easy fix and now works fine. It is still loud when spinning, but maybe I was just fortunate to have a quiet machine at my last house. Price-wise, it was less expensive than most other comparable machines, so I guess you get what you pay for. As far as cleaning, the clothes bunch easily. I'm not sure it cleans as well as it should.

Love the auto dispensing!

So far I am loving this washer, In the beginning I had a little trouble setting up the Smarthings app, but after reinstalling it the issue was fixed. The auto dispensing is awesome, don't have to worry about having too much detergent or softener in the clothes.

I am so happy with this machine. I love all the features. I love that I don't have too add detergent every time i put in a wash. But one of my favorite features is that it lets me know when the drum needs to be cleaned!

WOnderful Washer

bought a month ago - first washer came all banged up and was replaced in 3 weeks. When arrived the crew set it up and it has worked very well. Lots of dirt coming out of the clothes - need to figure out the automatic soap dispensing as load has a lot of soap left in the sink after completing.

I bought this item about a month ago. The smart appliance function is very useful too me. I can set the schedule to complete the wash anytime I want. It also can detect the load and use the detergent base on it. Great features. Like the purchase.

The Future is Now

I received my new SAMSUNG Washing Machine (WF50A8800AV) and wow I am impressed. My previous washer was over 12 years old (mid-line at the time) and in desperate need of replacement. The Samsung WF50A8800AV is a completely different animal. I love all the different cycles and options, and the added special features like laundry detergent dispenser and the smart features. Comparing the two washers is a bit like comparing a bicycle to a Ferrari but here goes. Appearance - The brushed back exterior is stunning. While I have only had the machine for a week, the finish is holding up really well. No fingerprints or other marks. So far so good. I think this is quite important since the machine is black. The drum is stainless, very nice looking. This machine looks high end! Sturdiness/quality of the buttons. The controls feel nice and solid, and using the machine is very intuitive. No problems moving from one setting to another. Smart Features. I've downloaded the Smart Things app and added my washer and dryer, it was fairly easy to do. The dryer loaded easier and for the washer I used the QR code. Performance. The machine is working great. It's much quieter than my old machine, the load capacity is impressive, and my clothes are very clean. I love the detergent dispenser Not having to pour for each load is a time saver. It's somewhat difficult for me to see if the detergent dispenser is filled or not. Not really a big deal but a small indicator would be nice feature. If Samsung could only come up with a way of loading my laundry I would be all set. The laundry set is a major upgrade for me and I am thrilled. I am surprised by how much I love my washer and dryer. Very positive experience so far!

Washer never worked!

i purchased this set directly from samsung.com! our new set came in and the first time we used it it alerted me to contact customer service. our brand new washer was continuing to fill with water even when going through the spin cycle! the machine had standing water in it & would only drain when "calibrated". it never worked. i've spoken to the samsung customer service multiple times and asurion tech department has been to my house twice & replaced 4 parts on my brand new, never used machine.....and it still doesn't work! buyer beware!

This washer is a HUGE upgrade from what we had previously. This thing is quiet, fast, and I love how it connects to the dryer to provide recommendations. The front loader makes it easier to take things out and put things in, and I love being able to check my phone to see the progress/status of my laundry.

This washer has been a blessing to my family. Before we received this we had an old top load GE washer that barely fit anything. The 5.0 cu. ft. Extra-Large Capacity Smart Dial Front Load Washer with OptiWash™ in Brushed Black has exceeded our expectations. The AI Powered Smart Dial has already learned our favorite wash cycle and has taken away the trouble of deciding which cycle to use. Another favorite feature of mine is the OptiWash, its able to sense the amount of dirt on our clothes while adding more time or detergent to the cycle. The Steam Sanitize cycle is great for my husbands workout gear. He washes his Gi and other items at least once a day. This cycle reassures him that his things are getting clean. From the color to the sleekness of the unit, we are very happy with this washer.

This washer has completely exceeded my expectations!! I actually enjoy doing the laundry now and that is not something I use to look forward to doing before. . I'm using less water and detergent with each load now as well as less fabric softener. It's completely energy efficient and it stands up to that promise. It's virtually silent when in use and plays the cutest song at the end of the cycle. My clothes are coming out so much more cleaner which sounds crazy but it's true. This is my first time using front loaders and I'll never go back to the standard top loaders again. I'm so surprised about how much room the inside of the Samsung Washer has. The capacity is amazing and I feel like it's hard to fill it up now. The settings on it are so helpful also. Another amazing product from a spectacular company who continues to make quality appliances.

Smartest Washer I've ever had

I love this washing machine. I have the matching dryer to go with it. My favorite features that I've used the most are the MultiControl (because my washer and dryer is stacked), the AutoDispense System (because it notifies me when I'm running low on detergent), and the Smart Things app (which lets me know when the cycle has finished running). This wonderful washing machine also helped me get a stain out of my pillow case from a nosebleed that got onto it. I wasn't able to get blood out of cloth when I had my previous washing machine. Big upgrade!

Nice Machine for Laundry

I'm very happy with the Samsung WF50A8800AV washing machine. It is a beautiful looking unit and has worked flawlessly since we purchased it a few months back. The capacity is great and the fact that it has a large resevoir for storing detergent that is automatically dispensed is amazing! I highly recommend the product to busy moms looking to save time with larger loads and avoiding the need to add detergent for each wash. The smartthome integration is pretty cool too. My husband uses it more than I do for his laundry, and it works well to configure the settings and kick off the load. Overall this is a very nice product. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest feedback.

Best washer I have ever used!

I have never enjoyed doing laundry! However, this washer is has got to be my favorite one. Once you get the hang of it and all the functions, cycles and the fantastic features. I have owned many washers and yet have I had the opportunity to own one as lifesaving! The way it dispenses just the right amount of laundry detergent, fabric softener or bleach each time for MANY LOADS without ever getting dirty; or it can be done manually each load. My 9 and 12 year old kids do not mind and actually ask to help with laundry. All because it's simple yet fun. I also enjoy music it plays when the loads are done. As well as the app you can download to start loads and more!

Efficient and Fast

This is the best washer I have owned thus far. I have four people I am constantly doing laundry for. I can complete most of my laundry in one day. There are many options you can select from regarding the type of wash you want. The self clean mode is great. I use the auto detergent mode and allow the system to auto select how to wash.

Miracle machine

I'm not the most tech savvy at home but after our old washer and dryer completed their cycle (of life) my husband surprised me with this top of the line washer machine. At first it was hard to find the difference, but over time, I realized that the washer was doing all the work for us. I'm amazed with the learning system that it has. Now I just place laundry detergent and fabric softener when needed and VOILA!!!!! This miracle machine does all. The appearance is good, its quiet and you can control it from an app. I will recommend it!

Perfect for big families

This extra large capacity washer is perfect for families with kids. We do laundry almost daily, this washer works very well. I love all the AI smart features, it tells me when the cycle is finished. and even recommends wash cycles based on load weight, dirt levels...etc. It is very quiet compared to my last washer. Simply Amazing! This washer has cut our laundry time in half compared to our old washer because of it's huge capacity and faster cleaning cycle. Loving it!
