Terrible mold; impossible to remediate

six months after purchasing, the mold was insanely bad, despite attempts to clean it (painstakingly taking apart seal, scrubbing all affected parts with bleach and vinegar, running machine on long sanitary cycle with vinegar and bleach, as per samsung technician's instructions, who came out and cinfirmed this was a standard issue w/samsung washers). washer was fantastic, otherwise, but when clothes smell moldy after washing, the other features and great design are moot. after attempts to remediate mold every few months, we finally replaced it with an lg, which seems not to have the same mold issues, according to reviews.

this front loading washer is just horrible. the washer always smells like mold and i have used the tub clean feature too many times to count. my clothing always comes out of this washer smelling moldy. i would never buy another samsung product again!! it's my second one and this one is the worst one of all!!!

Washer's fine but don't buy it for Smart options

the washer itself is fine, its still pretty new so i can't really complain about it. i'm really surprised though on how poorly samsung has done regarding the smart control/smart home options. my washer has the button for it, is advertised for it, and has directions in the manual for it, but none of it works. i got the smart home adapter for no reason and am now stuck with it. a customer service representative couldn't even help me over the phone. the app that my washer model originally was compatible with got discontinued in april 2020 and got switched over to the smart things app. this does me no good though because they're saying my model number isn't compatible with the smart things app. pointless.

Not worth the headache.

Bought this washer in 2016. I bought this for the high capacity, energy efficiency, and option to add clothes through the door hinge. It worked beautifully until just shortly after the warranty expired. I had anticipated this as a possibility, so I got an extended warranty. My biggest issue is that when it stopped working it completely fell apart. Clothes were not getting adequate water, coming out with dry spots, still dirty, still smelly. I wash roughly every 2-3 days between small kids, and cloth diapering. It's almost like the machine couldn't handle that level of use. I tried every repair option on Samsung's website to no avail. Then my clothes started getting ruined. The machine would leave metal gray streaks on my clothes and linens. Just no, No, NO! Avoid this machine.

We purchased this washer when my old one went out. This has a lot of features that my old washer didn't have... and now that I have them, I don't want to go back. The ability to add a forgotten item to the wash during the wash cycle is priceless... and I have often used the "quick wash" cycle to wash material before I sew. It sets the temperature automatically ... you just set the control for what you put in... towels, sheets, perma-press, whites. My husband likes the little tune that it plays at the end of the cycle. I also think that it does a better job of washing than my last machine did. The only problem that we originally encountered was that it was larger than our old machine. Since we bought a matching dryer, we ended up moving things around a bit but it worked. Another nice feature is that It is so quiet. My old machine used to sound like a jet taking off. I really love this machine! You'll enjoy this washer.

Wonderfully competition

Our new washer has changed the procedure for washing clothes because, in the past, we would compete for being absent so the other person would have to eventually do the laundry. Now, with our new Samsung, we vie for the now-fun task. The lighted dial just guides the user through the correct setting for each load. By far, the best feature is the song at the end of each load's completion. This cheery tune encourages us to get the next load going.

We decided to replace our washer and dryer after the pair we had needed several repairs. They were 10 years old. As you can imagine a lot has changed with the options!! We've had the new washer and dryer for 6 weeks now, so glad we bought new ones! We definitely noticed a big difference in efficiency and fresh laundry! Only drawback....The size is a bit bigger than I was expecting, by the doors being rounded more than our previous pair. We ended up removing our laundry room panel doors. Still love it though!

I am excited to own this washing machine. I love all the cycles to choose from. It gets my laundry clean. I can't believe how quiet it is. It's easy to use. Features and easy to use

So far so good. Working as designed. Quiet operation. Only issue I have is the registration as I could not find the model number from the drop down list. I would have preferred a clear window on the Add load feature.

I love this washer!!

I was skeptical of the size of it being able to load everything I needed including my king size bed quilt. It does. It's makes some noise but not overly loud. My next purchase will be the matching drier. I stay in an apartment so size & noise was big for me. It dries your cloths out super good. Which cuts down on my drying time. Which saves me money. I've hade this product 5 months now & haven't had any problems whatsoever. The many features are a plus. You can control the washer off your phone when you purchase the adapter that plugs into your washer. The add cloths after it started has been great. I use that little door almost every wash. It seems I always forget something that was hiding from being washed. It uses little washing detergent. Which saves me money also. From my phone, to my laptop, now to my home appliances TV & all. I look for Samsung products first. I can't say enough. It also washes my cloths good too. I work around grease so this washer does great with my stained up cloths I bring home. If the price is a little high for you i can understand, but this washer is well worth it. Them it looks great also!!

New Replacement Samsung Front Load Washer

My new front load Samsung Washer was just delivered. It looks great, and runs quietly, and will see how well it washes compared to the top load that was replaced under the recall. I hear it does a great job.

Not happy about purchase

I purchased this new washer about two weeks ago, since my other Samsung washer was recalled. This new washer seems to retain some old dirty water after each wash. When it sits for a day or two and the door is opened, a foul smell comes from inside the drum area. If it continues , I will call out samsung repair to look into the problem.

Only had it a few days

After three days it seems pretty good. Some odd noises, but we need to get used to it. It was much heavier than the Samsung top loader that was recalled. Made in Vietnam, which was a surprise.

Upgraded to this washer from an old washer from the 1980's. Huge improvement! It is so quiet, you barely know it's on! I love how much laundry I can fit inside - I'm doing fewer loads and I'm happy with the results. Couldn't be happier!

Stopped working after 4 months

My washing machine is only 4 months old and has already stopped working. It worked perfectly for the last 4 months with no issues, but decided to completely break on Friday. The washer will not power on and I am waiting for a service technician to call me to set up an appointment. VERY unhappy with this and would NOT recommend to anyone. Luckily, I am still under warranty, but very upset that my family of 4 will have to make a trip to the laundromat to wash our clothing. For the price and age of the washer, this is completely unacceptable.

Washer front load

I was a little concerned buying a front load machine just because I never had one . I was amazed how clean my first load was. Also, load was evenly damp after one spin. No dry spots. This seemed to be a complaint about other machines. I am looking forward to washing my next load. Never have I looked forward to washing clothes. Also, the machine knows how much water to use for the load you put in. No more guessing. Load was easy to dry as not overly wet when added to dryer. I like how stable and quiet the machine is. I haven't tried the machine clean setting yet but am looking forward to trying everything. Hooray! Finally a washing machine I like. Haven't tried

This washer has a great look and feel to it. It is quiet and it is certainly an upgrade from what we had before. It is easy to use, it has plenty of features, and so far it has worked great. It proved to be a little bit difficult to maneuver in our house, as my wife and I labored it up the stairs (our fault for having stairs), but nonetheless, we are happy with our purchase.

I just purchased this washer yesterday and so far it has been great. Very easy to set and program. I love the hidden tray where you add detergent and softener. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that it's awfully low to the ground, thus almost forcing you to buy the pedestal to use it.
