i bought the geek squad 5 year protection when i bought it in besy buy and it expired this past january. well they replaced everything all kinds of motors,waterwall, control boards and many accessories. the soap tray and also the dish rack had rust. now there is a water inlet that's rusting the side wall (stainless steel) and since warranty from geek squad is expired they won't touch it. samsung says no way we have a 1 year warranty thats it. so if i would of rejected the geek squad warranty this piece of junk would have been a major pain and money pit.

This is the worst dishwasher anyone could own. If the bar at the bottom isn't clipped on as it comes off every time the rack is pushed in the water leaks out over the kitchen floor. Utensils come out not clean and have to be rewatched. It's very badly designed and things don't fit in properly. It's only good feature is its quiet and looks nice. I would rather have an appliance that works well instead of a fancy blue light and a musical ending on the cycle. Will never buy your dishwashers again. Stick to TVs. Definitely not worth the price.

Dish washer broke within 4 months

I bought the chef's collection when I bought a new house because I've had Samsung TVs and other stereo systems that I was happy with. I never really used the dish washer at all. I think I used it 3 times in the first two years. Couple months ago I tried using it and it was not working. I called Samsung to see if they could come and fix it since it was still under warranty and they wanted to charge me to come out and look at it. I've used the dishwasher less than 10 times and now have to get somebody out here to fix it. Would not recommend!

We bought this dishwasher in May 2016. This is the second time the waterwall system has broken and the bottom rack will not get clean. We had a repair estimate to replace the motor for $450. It was inferred that we should invest in a new DIFFERENT brand machine as this one is not reliable and may break again. Especially as this is the second time in 2 1/2 years. We currently are using it as a drying rack until we can get a new one. There should be a recall on this machine!

3 repairs in less than 3 years

Came to own this dishwasher when we bought a new house. Unit was brand new and has required repair 3 times in less than 3 years. Two of these were issues with the waterwall drive/belt mechanism. Repair technician shared that this is a well-known and common problem with Samsung's design. Have not received a positive or productive response from Samsung customer service. Overall, a huge disappointment for our family, which owns many Samsung products.

The water wall bar stopped working after only 2 years. It is a common problem - so common that the technician knew what the issue was before he actually turned the dishwasher on. It boils down to the water wall bar needing a second magnet. So, my dishwasher doesn't work because Samsung went cheap - yet charges a premium.

Great dishwasher but not for long

I loved this dishwasher for the first year or so that I owned it. Then it started making a strange, intermittent sound. Sound grew louder, like gears grinding. Turns out it is a very common problem with the water wall motor and arm, and quite expensive to repair. When I paid top dollar for this top of the line model I thought it would last more than two years. I was wrong. Won't make that mistake twice. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher, or any appliance they make.

Does not clean dishes

I liked the design and it is quiet. I don't like that when I open to load it, I always seem to hit the start button on the touchscreen. The middle rack sticks in the back and glasses fall over from pulling on it every time I add more glasses. Dishes on the bottom rack fall over when I pull it out to add. I've never had this kind of issue with a dishwasher. Most importantly, many times dishes don't come out clean even using the longest cycle. Dishwasher always has a terrible smell. Not worth the money. I had an old dishwasher when I moved in and it did a much better job. I have the washer/dryer and they have been great!

Samsung Waterfall dishwasher

Well if you are buying a dishwasher that will clean and dry your dishes this is not it. For as much money as these cost you would expect that it would do that. It has no heat element due to it's new design however if you are not home to open the dishwasher after it is done with its cycle then nothing dry's and it smells like something died in there due to the moisture build up. Called Samsung about the problem and was told that was the design this one we bought does not have the door release to open it so it must be opened after it's cycle and let it dry out for a few hours. Even if you did that you need to leave to door cracked till it's time to run again otherwise it smells like mold and mildew. NOT worth it for its price

LOVE this dishwasher!

This is the best dishwasher we have ever had! Of course at its price, it better be the best. We've had it for a little over 2 years and it works just as well as day one with zero problems. It's very quiet and can only be heard if it is silent in the house (so not very often). The top rack is adjustable in height so you can wash taller items in the bottom. It has the waterwall to get the bottom clean and another spinning water bar to get the top clean. The flextray at the very top is perfect for cooking utensils and cutlery. You can wash just one half of the dishwasher too, just the right, just the left, or even just the top or just the bottom. It comes in handy when you only have half a load but need to get the dishes done. The timer at the front of the display is handy also. It'll add or subtract time as needed. I really love all the features of this dishwasher.

This dishwasher has been very disappointing

We've owned the dishwasher for a year now and keep trying different ways to get the dishes clean. Unfortunately, nothing has worked. We had a service person come out within a few months of owning because dishes were not drying nor getting cleaned thoroughly. The explanation for poor drying was that "all dishwashers are like this now because they don't use heat to dry...just air". OK I can accept that and now we just leave the door open and I dry them with a towel when unloading. We also complained that food was stuck on plates, bowls, utensils etc despite using the heavy cycle. No solution was given for that as we were told it was functioning correctly. So... a year after purchasing, we run small loads frequently and rinse them well before loading. Certainly defeats the purpose of an energy efficient machine. The only thing we like about this appliance is that it's very quiet. Otherwise, we are extremely disappointed in the overall appliance and very upset we paid as much as we did. I will never buy a Samsung dishwasher again.

Ultra quiet dishwasher

When this thing is running, you'd be hard-pressed to know it. Dishes have come out very clean, and for the most part dry. The convection drying is a bit of a surprise after my old dishwasher (which had a heating element) but I understand that convection drying is how the new units get EnergyStar rated. Rinse-aid makes a BIG difference.

I am very disappointed in the performance of this dishwasher. If there is ANYTHING on the dishes or utensils, it is still there when the cycle is done. I have to make sure what ever goes in, is cleaned off before it goes into the dishwasher. Definitely not worth it for the price. I haven't even had it a year, and I can't wait to get rid of it.

Expensive dish wetter

Bought and installed this unit on a Saturday and ran a cleaning cycle with no issues. Both my wife and I were really impressed at how quiet it was. Monday night, we loaded up and ran it over night. The next morning I noticed that the dishes inside were wet but still dirty, so I thought that maybe I had forgotten to put a detergent pack in. I did this and started the cycle again. That afternoon, I noticed that the detergent pack was gone but the dishes were in the exact same state that I left them in that morning. Frustrated now, I reset the unit and run another cycle. Upon finishing, 3 cycles later my dishes are still filthy. I am an engineer who has years of experience in manufacturing, so I understand that defective products occasionally make it to the end user. But after reading over 50% of this unit's reviews calling it out as complete garbage, I am taking it back to the store and buying something else. Disappointing because it was literally the most expensive unit available, I just assumed it was for a reason.

It's Quiet

The dishwasher is so quiet the only way you will know it is working is when you see the lights on the front. It does an excellent job cleaning dishes, as good as commercial machines. If you are looking for a home unit that works as well as commercial dishwashers and is quiet then this is the unit you want.

I have had too many problems

Extremely quiet operation

Have owned this for about 3 months.....it's got tons of great features.....the best of which is the upper wash tray.....it's great for all utensils....the top tub can be lowered for extra tall glass ware. You can run just bottom or just top for a quick load.......the look of this unit is absolutely fantastic....gives you a countdown in blue led on the front when in use. Overall the best dishwasher we have ever owned.

Poor performance

The Chef Collection dishwasher does not wash the dishes or silverware very well. The run cycle is extremely long and the dishes and silverware are never dry when we unload it. In addition, there is a cord and spring mounted to support the weight of the door when you open and lower it. One of the cords broke loose from the spring, the door came down on my leg and caused a seven to eight inch cut on my shin. To make things worse the dishwasher has only been used three or four times. My old dishwasher was very simple, the run cycle was approximately 40 minutes and it cleaned and dried the dishes every time, for sixteen years. It never needed any repairs in all that time. We only renewed it because we remodeled our kitchen. Extremely disappointed in this product.

Never buy this dishwasher

Where to start: 1. the dishwasher doesn't have a door lock, great on design poor on function. This leads to cycles stopping randomly, water leaking on to the floor, and of course, unclean dishes. 2. Top rack doesn't sit properly, so it keeps the door open, or worse opens the door during a cycle. 3. Need to use liquid soap only. (Per Tech) 4. Need to always use Dry+ setting (Per phone support) If you want a pretty dishwasher for looks, great, if you want a quality, service free dishwasher to clean dishes, buy something else.

This is the quietest machine you will ever purchase. Seriously you have to press your ear to the door to hear it. Also, the water wall feature is ingenious. I am convinced this is the best dishwasher on the market. Well worth the investment....as a bonus it is so easy to use, my husband has even started doing dishes! Do not listen to the old reviews because at one time there was an issue with the hinges which caused water leakage. This is no longer the case as Samsung has fixed this. If you want to treat yourself, this is your machine.

Seven of out of the 14 months that I have owned this dishwasher is has been broken.. My current service call is for a replacement waterwall bar (it moves across the bottom of the dishwasher). The original replacement part took 6 weeks to ship and then arrived broken.. Waiting for new part.

Very Disappointed

I have had this dishwasher since July 2014. Overall I am disappointed with it given how expensive it was. I rate it average at best in cleaning. It IS very quiet I'll give you that much. I have had repair issues twice since I bought it. Once it wasn't draining water and now it doesn't cycle completely, shuts off after about 15-20 minutes. I am very disappointed in this over priced dishwasher.

Not good!

I purchased this VERY EXPENSIVE dishwashing on 11/2/14 and today is 12/5/14. I just had to complete a "Service Request" as we are getting an LE code and the dishwasher has been out for 2 days. Pretty dissapointing considering how much we paid for this unit.

Dishwasher does not work

I purchased this dishwasher over 60 days ago. I ran about 5 times and is still sitting in my kitchen not operating. When it did work it didn't even clean that well, I was highly disappointed. There is NO WAY this product cleans dishes like it is advertised to do.
