Nice Features Reliability So So

This is a cabinet depth French door refrigerator. The features are excellent with ice and water through the door and a milk and beverage door. The refrigerator holds the temperature well and the interior lighting is excellent. The unit holds more than would be expected for its size and food items are easily accessible. It is attractive unit. The ice maker works well but the storage is small and we frequently run out of ice during the summer. This is ice for drinks for 2 people not entertaining. My previous LG had square or rectangular shaped ice cubes. They were much better in drinks than the crescent shaped cubes in this model. The performance of the ice maker is adequate and expected given the in-door ice maker. The space saved by the in-door unit is an advantage. This refrigerator has had a number of reliability issues. The compressor failed at about 3 years. It was replaced under warranty but we would have lost a lot of food if we didnt have a second refrigerator. The wi-fi board failed and the paddle on the door that activates the switch that dispenses water and ice broke and had to be replaced. These were not warranty items.

We brought this refrigerator along with the group it came with 7 years ago. We had to replace the compressor after just 3 and 1/2 years. Now 3 and 1/2 years later the compressor is gone again. This refrigerator has been a complete disaster for us. On top of that apparently LG does not back there product. We should be receiving a new refrigerator.

This is the worst large appliance I have ever purchased and is the LAST LG appliance I will ever purchase. It has failed two times in just a little over a year. The fan that distributes cold in the refrigerator keeps failing. I have lost food and have had to pay for repairs.

Fridge has stopped working

After five and one half years the fridge is not getting cold. Three repair visits from the service center on the LG website and still not fixed. Looks like there is no hope of it being able to get up and running. That is way too short of a period without it being able to be repaired.

My 4 year old LG French door fridge had compressor and evaporator replaced at the 2 year mark and now its not cooling again the repair guy informed me that it cant be fixed. What a waste of money. LG customer service was awful warranty isnt worth the paper its printed on. Buy something else - anything else. Keeps breaking

We bought our Fridge in 2018 as part of a kitchen renovation and started using it 2020. Feb 2022 it broke and we got it fixed through LG under warranty. They said LG has a compressor problem and was being sued for their compressors. July 2022 it broke again. Now they want to charge us for labor. How is this reasonable?

Broken in Less Than Four Years

I really loved this refrigerator for the 3 years and 10 months that it worked. Now the sealant broke and it needs a new compressor. Although this is under warranty and the 800 number folks are pleasant it is taking weeks and many phone calls to get resolution. I have now learned that a friend purchased a similar LG refrigerator about 4 years ago and is currently dealing with the same problem.

I bought this product since 2018. I have worked very well but in May 2022 it broke down. It didnt cool well but since I had a guarantee the problem was fixed but I didnt qualify to receive a refund for lost food. I dont know why I didnt qualify because it was more than 10 days without a refrigerator and my food was damaged.

Awful to keep clean

Really hard to keep surface clean stainless steel cleaners dont work need to clean with white wine vinegar then use olive oil which leaves a lovely surface but very time consuming Also if you close the left door last the right pops open every time Super annoying and you dont realize until the door alarm goes off a few minutes later.
