Dead in 2.5 Years

My expectation is for a dryer to last 7 years minimum these are not complicated machines. However this dryer died after just 2.5. Thats the big takeaway. After numerous rounds of appliance repair fixing a thermal fuse the thermistor twice and the mother board twice my appliance tech gave up and told me to get a new dryer. We could not clear the tE1 code that the dryer kept throwing. Costco tried to help by reaching out to LG through their warranty team but LG wouldnt budge. I tried to contact LG to come to some kind of solution even if a full replacement was impossible but LG would budge. They barely helped to troubleshoot pushing instead to send yet another tech out. Overall a very poor experience and a lesson to always purchase the cheap warranty from the start. I will say weve purchased another LG Dryer already from Costco with the warranty. We only did this because our Appliance Repair Tech advised us that LG was one of his preferred brands and because it matched the existing washer we have. We must have just got a lemon really wish LG did more to help.

Repair Nightmare

I have owned this dryer for 2 years. In the last year from 3/21 to 4/22 I have had the main control board replaced 3 times. LG Authorized repair companies are small with only 1-2 repair people. Both companies did a good job but had to wait for parts for several days. I will not buy another LG product

A nice replacement so far

I bought this dryer to replace our 2-year old LG dryer that broke and for some reason could not be serviced and every repair that I attempted would not work. The LG representatives I spoke to were not helpful since the old dryer was out of warranty and delivery and installation of this dryer was nothing short of a boondoggle for reasons that probably dont need to be detailed here. Anyways after I got it up and running I have been unburying myself from a mountain of laundry. For the most part the dryer is working very well though at times it leaves clothes too damp for my liking even on the Very Dry setting. Dont even attempt to dry athletic gear on the Sports wear cycle... that doesnt work at all unless you just like sopping wet clothes. But using the delicates cycle sometimes twice will work. I learned my lesson from the previous dryer and bought the extended warranty.

Something isnt right

Purchased this gas dryer to replace a perfectly working gas dryer but the washer was bad. According to the manual I should be able to run 51 of 4 rigid duct with 1 ell and this should perform fine: it doesnt I continually get an error code that the vent is blocked. There is 14 of 4 rigid vent and I have visually checked it multiple times as well as cleaned it nothing came out There is no blockage LG sent a tech out who said theres no issue with the dryer but he didnt know the difference between the dryer vent and furnace/water heater vent and wouldnt go on the roof to verify the vent isnt blocked. I shouldnt need a booster fan with only 14 of duct but this dryer simply doesnt work as-as. Im at wits end
