I haven't had my new Benchmark model long enough to review. My hope is that it lasts 12 years like our first one did. I still regret carrying it to the curb. We even helped the guy who"s dad sent him to get it, load it up. Hope they give it a second life.

I didn't think I'd ever have strong feelings about a dishwasher... and yet here we are.
This Bosch is so quiet I have to check the little red floor light to make sure it's actually running. This dishwasher silently transforms my coffee cups from "I'll soak that later" to sparkling clean.
The dishes come out spotless, it dries way better than I expected, and now I find myself loading it like it's some kind of relaxing evening hobby. Never thought I'd be this emotionally invested in an appliance, but Bosch has apparently turned me into someone who brags about their dishwasher.
10/10. If it could fold laundry, I'd leave it everything in my will.

This dishwasher is very quiet and cleans well on all three levels. Drying is not so complete, leaving us to dry many items after removing them.
The racks are versatile but don't roll as well as I expected they would.
There is no indication that the cycle has completed other than the floor display going out. This is fine if you are the one that started the washer, but if you aren't you may end up putting dirty dishes in with clean ones.
It lacks an automatice door opener, which would resolve this and aid in the drying process.
Overall we like it, but it coule be better at this price.

Best dishwasher I have ever had. I have had a Miele and a top of the line Samsung before and neither comoare to this one. The drying and the 3 racks and the water softener built in. It is very quiet as well. Connects to an app. I think it is amazing.

Not having a printed owner's manuel has been a real disadvantage. I needed a service call to figure out how to fix a minor problem. Now when I use the Model number listed above, I still am not able to access the manuel online. So frustrating. The dishwasher works very well and is very quiet. I had a Miele which worked as well but came with a manuel.

The Benchmark does a great job washing dishes, but it developed a failure in the floor display that shows the time remaining for the cycle. Instead of numbers, all I see is a light blue square. I have a Bosch technicial coming out to fix the problem in another week. I'm surprised that such an exprensive dishwasher would have a failure like this after only a month of use.
Also, the dishwasher developed a rank odor when I had dirty dishes in it. I cleaned the filter which had only a little debris in it. I find I have to leave the door open a bit between washes to dispel this odor, even with a clean filter.
I expected better from this very expensive dishwasher.

My Bosch dishwasher has been a disaster since the day it was installed! I paid a big box store to install it and they didn't tighten the water connection. So after they installed it, they turned it on and it sprayed hot water under my hardwood floors for the entire cleaning cycle. My floors were destroyed and had to be replaced. Once the dishwasher was properly connected, we found it difficult to load because our dishes don't really fit. The silverware tray is too small. The top rack is Too high and we can't fit tall glasses on the middle rack. The light that shines on the floor to let you know how much time is left in the cycle stopped working after a few months. I bought the top of the line model after the Consumer Reports recommendation but I so regret it! Wish I bought a basic less expensive Kicthen Aide.

This is my third Bosch dishwasher. I am not crazy about this model. Buttons are terrible . Old dishwasher had wonderful glass surface touch screen 'buttons'. This deal also came with a tiny silverware basket/ I had to buy a larger one. The cycles to sanitize are crazy long like over 2 hours! The light on the floor is nice but it goes out once the cycle is done. It should change say done/finished until the door is opened As it is super easy to open the door, not realize dishes are clean and throw dirty dishes in! Lastly the rubber gasket on one side completely came out and I had to reinstall it. This is my least favorite out of 3 machines. I didn't think the WiFi would be useful but it is. It is quiet as all Bosch appliances are. I am constantly having to clean utensils that are dirty after being cleaned.

We had trouble with the first as it didn't pull water. This one apparently won't accept the finish rinse aid and it simply leaks out when we try to fill it. We couldn't stand to be without a dishwasher for another 4 weeks or more, so we kept it. It's quiet and cleans the dishes fairly well.

The dishwasher gets my dishes sparkling clean. I used to always rinse but now I don't have to. It is also virtually silent in my home. The Time Light has turned into something fun to show off for guests.

Bosch makes a great and quiet dishwasher. One strange feature of the new models involves the delay feature. Now, in order to set a 6, 8, or whatever delay, you must use the app. Clearly this is some overthinking as simply pressing the delay button a few times was much easier. The one upside is that the app does show when the cycle will finish so it is easy to plan a 6:30 am finish.

Love how well this machine cleans and drys. It's quiet and functions as expected. Has some great features like built in water softener, interior light, phone app with notificiations, and smart controls. We have had it in use for a couple months now and wish we would have purchased sooner. Feedback so far for improvements are very limited. Would like the exterior floor display that currently emits the cycle timer lite to also indiciate the cycle is complete until the machine is opened post cycle.

I would always see the dishwasher detergent commercials that would talk about stuck on food and how, "it's not your dishwasher, it's your detergent." Well, this dishwasher puts that claim to shame. I never knew that dishes without water stains were a thing! Not only does it clean my dishes back to store bought quality, but it also sanitizes to give me the peace of mind I need for my newborn. Hard water? No problem! It has a salt compartment to help soften the water. I was never aware that appliances came this good. Splurging for high-end was a definite!

The Bosch Benchmark dishwasher is a remarkable dishwasher. It is absolutely quiet. It does a superb job of cleaning and drying. I was able to connect it to our home wireless Internet without any difficulty. It tells us all sorts of things like when it done and when it needs rinse it salt refilled. It has a rinse hold option, but can only be accessed thru the mobile app. That's the only negative I can come up with. We got it on sale and it is definitely worth it!

Cleans and dries well. But this is not a heavy duty machine. The utensil rack rails are thin gauge metal and flimsy. Racks not heavy duty either. I would have expected a much better build quality for the high price

Have only had this one a month but is working fine other than the occasional not able to connect to app issue. 3 stars for functionality, 5 stars for cleaning performance. This dishwasher does an amazing job at cleaning our dishes. So for that I highly recommend. However, it does have a few frustrating "features". The racks are difficult to use for a number of reasons. In the two months I've been using my machine, I still don't know the best way to load it. The top rack is OK (not great) but the bottom rack is bad. You can't put anything in the front half of the rack between the tines because everytime you push the rack in the dishes fall towards the back. I love having the flex tray at the top but the handle design is terrible and it is always coming loose. And on all the racks the tines that you can lay down never want to stay in place. The control panel has bright LED lights but the icons aren't lit up, which means at night when you want to use the machine you can't see the buttons because you're blinded by bright white light bars. Lastly, I put the machine online, which was handy for setting up washing cycles, but the other day it mysteriously disconnected from my phone and now I can't get the machine back online again.

This machine is impressive. It is the first appliance I have used where using the AUTOMATIC (instsead of choosing HEAVY or NORMAL) selection actually works well. Items come out extremely clean. And wow, how quiet!! Here are some points which address some of the negative reviews:
1. Instead of an indicator light, there is a count down timer that projects on the floor. When finished, the timer disappears.
2. When finished, water drops can still be found on the inside walls of the machine because of the drying technology used. Instead of bringing in outside air it uses temperature to draw the moisture from the hot dishes to the cool walls. This is much mitigated by using the CRYSTAL DRY option, which adds some time to the cycle.
3. Without the app, there are plenty of cycles available, and I do not miss not using the app. For the extra POWER CONTROL for the bottom rack, I can choose extra power for the FRONT or REAR of the rack, which is just fine for me. I think the app can reduce the power area to quadrants, or perhaps even all of the rack, but I don't find I need the app at all.

I've been using the Bosch SHX9PCM5N for a few months now, and honestly, it's one of those purchases I wish I had made sooner. The first thing I noticed was how unbelievably quiet it is-I actually had to check that it was running the first time I turned it on. But beyond that, the cleaning performance is just outstanding. I've put in everything from baked-on casserole dishes to greasy pans, and they come out spotless every time without me needing to pre-rinse.

I'm coming from a low-end Whirlpool dishwasher from the early '00s but man, the Benchmark is a step up! It's chock full of little details that make using a dishwasher better. I love the silverware drawer up top that can hold more pieces of silverware than I ever anticipate needing to wash in one go. The upper rack's adjustable height comes in handy multiple times a week to let me easily clean dishes of varying sizes. And the unit cleans dishes incredibly well. It is easily the nicest dishwasher I have ever owned or used.
It loses two full stars though. There are a few little details that are bothersome, like the door hinge feeling stiff and the door itself feeling less sturdy than dishwasher doors used to be. The door works fine but the feel isn't what I expect from something this high end. I also am bummed that there is no dedicated spot to add a smidgen of detergent for pre-wash. I know most people just use pods but prewash can really help and the lack of documentation on the matter leads to a bunch of people on the internet speculating about what you should actually do.
But the biggest issue with this dishwasher is that the controls are so mediocre. The buttons to control the dishwasher aren't real buttons, and not only that, the responsiveness is terrible. If you're going to sacrifice real buttons then at least make your screen respond immediately when I press the cheap feeling membrane buttons. For the first few days I struggled to actually figure out how to start a cycle on this, and it continues to be a thing that makes using this dishwasher feel a little worse every time I use it. And it's a regression too; I've seen previous year versions of this dishwasher with real buttons on top. A shame!
I love the dishwasher overall but a few bad decisions can really leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Had problems from beginning. Screws falling out. Replaced whole electric panel. Then started leaking on floor. Tub was cracked. Bosch only wants to give pro rated cost. Bought expensive appliance to have no issues. Never had a Bosch before AND I will never own another. They have done us dirty. Told different every time we talked to a new person. Also, had to get Home Depot to call to even get them to understand we bought it after showing several receipts. Ridiculous. Terrible Service, Terrible Product. Bad Business.

The dishwasher does a great job of cleaning the dishes, including pots and pans without all of the noise. The only time I know it is running is when the water is draining. The flexbility of the 3 racks is also great for fitting just about anything inside.

We got this model because it has a water softener. Our water is quite hard. The dishwasher does an excellent job of cleaning the dishes. It is so quiet that we can run it 20 feet from where we are watching TV and not have the show interrupted.
This model comes with a smartphone app that lets you control option, do delayed starts, and otherwise configure the dishwasher. Probably because of the app there are fewer physical controls on this model than on our previous Bosch dishwasher. This means you MUST use the app to do certain things. For instance ECO mode and Half Load are only selectable via the app. Same for various delayed starts. (There is a really nice delayed start setting that lets you pick optimum hours to run the dishwasher and selects the closest window to when you initiate the delayed start.)
There is a downside to this, though. The app has been rather tempromental for me. Sometimes for no apparent reason the app cannot connect to the dishwasher. Other times it will connect and perform some functions but will not successfully initiate a delalyed start. When one of these failures occurs the only way to get things working again is to get the dishwasher to reset. Sometimes the on button reset gets things back to normal. But sometimes it is necessary to remove power from the dishwasher for 15 minmutes.
So if the failure occurs when you are in a hurry to set some app option and get the dishes done you are out of luck;
